I know D'Addario makes medium scale flats. Oddly enough, AMS seems to only have those in stock for medium scale strings. They use to have other ones, but dropped a lot of things for whatever reason. You'd think they'd have rounds in medium scale, but maybe those sell more because of short scale hollowbodies that they do have in stock.

Check out GC, they seem to have a broad selection of D'Addario, and other brands.

Yeah, I've noticed this and I could just order them online, too. There's also a site that specializes in selling bass strings that I've used before.

Other than the D'Addario ETB92 Nylon Long Scales that I can buy locally, I use GC online for ETB92 Short, and ETB92 Medium Scale Nylons.

When you had the Hofner, the medium scale nylons wouldn't fit on that? I remember you saying you had some issue with your brand and that, so you had to try another brand.

The Hofner requires a regular guitar size string end to wrap into the the peg winding holes. The Short Scale La Bella Beatle Bass strings worked the best, I thought. D'Addario has no acceptable Nylon string like the La Bella.

I'm going back to an Olympic White Mustang PJ, when they're back in stock.

Image I played a Torino Red one at SA, through a used Fender Bassman 100T/ Bassman 115 Neo. It sounded better through it than the Hartke KB15 they also had.

I imagine so. Personally, I like the sound of Fender amps over the Hartke ones, not to say they're bad. Although, I did have an reliability issue with a Hartke practice combo I had.

I know what you mean about the Fender sound over the Hartke sound. Jack B. did like his Hartke's, but I'm not Jack.

I've been playing the Am. Std. Jazz for a couple of days, it's a good player, nice to have it back.

I've been picking up my Squier Jazz bass in between time with the hollow body bass. The strings on the Squier are broken in perfectly now.

How are you and the new hollow body doing? I forget what configuration your Squier is, and what strings do you have it strung with?
I'm not sure if I'm going to do anything but Jazzes in the future. I like them.

The hollow body is doing pretty good, although I am rethinking about using rounds with it and using flats like I usually do. I don't know, I guess I'll play it by ear. The Squier is a Jazz and I have Rotosound flats on it. They feel pretty good and sound pretty good on there, that's probably why I'm thinking about putting flats on the hollow body.
