Yeah, oddly enough, I haven't had any GAS attacks since I got my hollowbody bass. It's kind of weird sensation and I'm like, where do I go to from here? :P More hollowbodies? :P I do have friggin' more instruments than I have guitar stands for right now, by the way.

I just bought a couple of those guitar rack-stands by Herc from Amazon.
L&M was out of stock.
A 3 and a 5.
Sick and tired of all those back/back double stands eating up so much real estate in my studio.
The racks should reduce my footprint.
By my reckoning, 5 guitars should used less floor space than 4 do now.
8 should be less than 6.
I'm prolly gonna be posting a few Herc doubles/triples for sale on Kijiji.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

In retrospect, I wish I had gotten one of those guitar racks, instead of the folding stands. The rehearsal room is quite small and that would have shaved off some space in there. I guess the reason we didn't was that we didn't want to pay the extra cost of one of those things, or maybe didn't have the funds available, which was probably the case.

When did you get the American Standard? I must have had a brain fart, because for some reason I don't remember this one. :P

I got this one a couple of days ago now. This is one that I sold to a friend a month or two ago, and it was one of those, if I would like it back, he'd sell it back. It's in the same condition when I sold it to him. He never had it out of the case. It's nice to have it with the other Jazzes. The original Tort PG came off, and the White PG went on.

Didn't you have a bass that you traded in to the shop (I think it was a Jazz) that was left in a case in the back with the nylon strings on it for a long time, then you got it back? I seem to remember something like that. It wasn't that bass, was it?

Yes, but that was an Olympic White Am. Std. Precision.

That one was a really nice Precision, but I have a better ear for the Jazz sounds. "With a little help from my friends", ya' know,...........

Yeah, you might as well stick with what you really like to play, even though it's cool to try out different things from time to time.

Yeah, it is cool to try out different things. In my playing though, I keep going back to a Jazz, and for me, that's ok.

I picked up my Squier Jazz earlier today and jammed on it for a bit, speaking of Jazzes. The strings on that one are well broken in, but still have plenty of life in them, unlike the Schecter, which probably could use a changing, since that bass got a lot of heavy use on that set on them. Speaking of strings, I did find out that I need medium scale strings for it because of the bridge set up. I don't think I'm going to go with flats on it, after all. My girlfriend likes the sound of the rounds that are on it, and I do admit I do like the attack that I get with those on that bass. Maybe I should go off and try another direction for awhile with my tone. I think it's good to break things up once in a while. Besides, I have plenty of other basses that have flats on them, if I need that sound. I could always switch back to them down the road and at least I'll be saving money buying rounds. The only thing is I think only a couple of companies make medium scale strings. I know Rotosound does, so at least I got that covered, but I might want to try something else, too. I've never used their rounds, ironically enough, because that's what they're known for.

I use mediums with the D'Addario strings. Jazzes are pretty tough to beat.
