Well, hopefully the bass you will be getting plays as nice as the one you tried out.

One thing I've seen about red basses shown on websites, they don't always appear the same in studio, as they look in person. They can look better with studio photo lighting, than in regular room lighting.

That's definitely true. There's also Photoshop to fix things up.

It doesn't matter now about what color to get, since I acquired an Olympic White Mustang PJ this morning, at a local GC. This one has a better looking Rosewood Fretboard on it than the one I was going to have shipped from Sweetwater. GC had this Olympic White marked as a Sonic Blue. In some lighting it almost has a Sonic Blue tint to it. But in a good bright light, the Olympic White shows nicely. ETB92S Nylons are in transit.

Have you played around with it yet, or are you waiting for the strings?

The ETB92S Nylons should been the mail Friday, or Saturday. The Fender Urban Short-scale Gig Bag should be in Friday.

I hope your Fender gig bag is a lot better than the one I had a few years ago. That thing was a POS. The zippers completely crumbled off of it. I couldn't use it anymore and pitched it.

I'm going to use it until I get the cash up for a Mustang hardshell case, or I may like using it, I don't know. If it holds up for a while great.

Do they have a case available that fits that bass?

It fits a Mustang, and one or two other shorties. It's a black Tolex style Fender case.

Whatever works. Eventually, I'm going to need a case for the violin bass when I get it, but that thing is going to be $65. I really should get it, because I do intend to gig with that bass.

I paid $35. for the Fender Urban Short-scale Gig Bag from Sweetwater. It looks pretty good, and it's a nice fit. At least with the Mustang in it.

Got tired of the fretless, or did you miss those fancy block inlays? :P
