I know, like I've stated a bunch of times, my first Gibson EB-0 in 1970 cost $349. Buckeroos, that was a fortune for me back then. And there were many Fender Jazzes that I should have kept. My last USA Geddy Lee Jazz, was the top of the list, no two ways about that one!

You don’t know what you got until you lose it. Some things should be kept and left alone, my friend if ya know what I mean; but, I’m sure you do.

Out of curiosity, I checked the CPI Inflation Calculator and according to that, it would be the buying power of $2,388.32 today. https://www.bls.gov/data/inflation_calculator.htm Yeah, that's a good chunk of change, there. That bass, or Gibson's modern equivalent, is actually cheaper, since they go for around $1499. My $450 1977 Jazz would have been the buying power of $967.62 today. No wonder it took me a while to pay it off on layaway. :P I don't know what they cost new in 1977, since I wasn't playing bass then, and just a little kid. You all would know better than I would.

I remember that USA Geddy Lee Jazz. I was actually kind of surprised you got rid of that one, since you did have it a long time, and seemed to have really liked that one. I know how that goes, though.

Oh yeah, I've often learned that the hard way, as well.

Me too. I just decided to sell it for the AC Jazz.

I remember that. That was the last one you had before you went to the Epiphone stuff, didn't you? I do remember you had a Players Series Jazz somewhere around there, too.

That's the right time frame for it. The EB-0 really is a cranker. The Fender Jazzes were good players though.
