If you're interesting in looking into info on vintage Kustom stuff, this is a pretty good site: http://www.vintagekustom.com/frame.html
Thanks, Paul. Interesting site. I don’t know why, but every time I look at those funky Kustom amps it makes me wanna wear a soda hat.

Don't get me going on the Kustom Amps. Red Naugahyde with Gold Metal Flake, and 4, 15" JBL, or Altec Lansings.

Because you know you want 4 of those stacks wired up together, plugged into a battered EB bass, with a pot leaf sticker on it, and a feathered roach clip dangling from the headstock, whilst wearing bell bottom jeans, boots, and having mutton chop sideburns, for the ultimate 60's flashback narcotic music scenario. :P The funny thing is, there's bands out now in their 20's that are like that. Usually on Alive Naturalsound Records. They even have the old amps, too.

Yeah,...... CHEER was one of the few bands that sounded almost as loud backstage, as they did in the first 1/4 - 1/2 of a mile from the front of the stage. Mountain was like that also, come to think of it.

Great shot of the band by the way. Methinks they had corks in their ears. 8)

I've been finding myself going back to the violin bass lately. I wasn't playing it for awhile, just playing on the Ibanez short scale, but after playing it recently, I've noticed that it inspires more creativity out of me.

Bee's Wax. Or empty .38, or .45 cartridges. Image

Either one I think is a fine player, and tough to decide which of the two to play.

Yeah, they both are, although like I've mentioned, I've found myself being more creative on the violin bass lately.

Go for it. It's ok to have a favorite one to go to. "Ready, PLAY!"

Yes, but to throw a wrench in the works, I've also been thinking about the Squier Jazz Bass that's been sitting around collecting dust, as well. :P Maybe I should break that sucker out and plug it into the Ampeg, which by the way, I never had done. I did pick it up the other day and played on it a little bit. Sure, the neck is longer on it, but Jazz basses do have pretty easy necks on them, as you well know. It's not some weird transition too and from.
