That Orange stack must shake the place. A nice one to run as high as you can.

Yeah, it can do that. I'm hoping I'll be able to use it again soon. It looks like I might pretty soon, if things keep up like they are.

That's a nice bass. 8) I've been having conflicting GAS between two instruments, these days. :P

Well, actually doing some research with watching videos with Fender and Squier basses with the P and J pickup configurations, and having agreement with my girlfriend with this (she's particular of the bass sound with her music and a bassist, herself,) there's a third option, replacing the first two. Well, I'm always going to want a hollowbody, but it's not in the cards right now with what I'm doing. I now have my sights on this: http://shop.fender.com/en-US/squier-ele ... ml#start=1 That probably seems like out of left field, but it won the sound test with the demo videos for us. Originally, I showed her the video for the new Mustang bass, but she didn't like it's sound. So out of curiosity, I started looking at other basses with that P and J configuration in the Fender/Squier line up with in that price range or less (I didn't bother with any American made stuff like the Elite Series, etc.) and come to find out that sounded the best to us, with the Squier Jaguar bass with active pickups in second. We listened to a Fender Standard Jaguar, Squier Jaguar Short Scale, and Squier Affinity Precision PJ basses, as well. They just didn't sound as good to us. So there you go. I've watched a few more demos with the Squier Precision just to see and the more I hear it, the more I like it. The price isn't too shabby, either. GAS isn't always set in stone, anyway. :P

GAS is just kinda' what is too. GAS! Have you been checking out the videos on the Violin basses? Some of those little guys have some great bottom to them. You have the power, and push to really do a Violin bass's sound justice. And Flats on the Violin bass completes the scene. A little Tommy thrown in there.

Yeah, I have. They do sound pretty good, too. I'd still like to get one some day, as well. The more I think about it, it might not necessarily work with what I'm doing, but I know the Precision would. We'll see.

Yeah,........ you really should go with what will work with ya'. Precisions are a pretty solid bass to use.

Either one will be lighter than the Schecter to use, at any case, which does my back good after playing for a couple of hours.. Then again, I've lost weight and am a lot better shape than I was the last time I did that. I can walk 3 miles a day like it's nothing now, going uphill, too. Maybe I can handle that better now.

Some of the Precisions are a decent weight. Mine is just under 9 pounds. I played it for about an hour today, after changing out the PG, and restringing it with the Nylons. It felt ok on the back. At least on mine, for about the hour.

Standing. I play better standing. That reminds me, to keep a strap in the car in case they get a Mustang in house.

That reminds me of when I use to carry plectrums with me, because my friend who is a guitarist, always forgot or lost his, and we'd often frequent guitar shops. I'm surprised that I didn't carry drum keys, since drummers would often not have one when they need it. :P
