I picked up my Telecaster for the first time in who knows how long? I didn't plug it in, just picked it up to reacquaint myself with playing a guitar instead of the bass. It's something I'm not the most comfortable with, but sometimes you got to do what you got to do, especially when other people are unreliable.

Very Cool. If I were to play a 6 stringer, the Tele would be it. Who are you going to be filling for?

Well we had or have a keyboardist, but he doesn't seem to give a crap either way, or is just a very poor communicator, so other than that, it's just me and my girlfriend and backing tracks that she performed and recorded. We're more of an electronic group than a traditional rock band, more so out of necessity than anything. I've always play sort of a lead bass kind of thing, or played higher up the neck to sort of do dual duty there, plus there are keyboard bass parts going on to cover a lot of the low end anyway. If it comes down to just me and her again, then I'll play guitar on a couple of tracks to break it up a bit. I had to do that back in 2011 in NYC when we played a show. This is of course the keyboardist flakes, which seems likely, but we did have a guitarist that might play shows, but he's a hired gun and he's on tour right now somewhere. Most likely, we'd probably have him play in NYC, if at all. There's another dude that we know that lives in NYC, but he's touring in Europe right now and has his own band.

We might try to see if we can find a drummer. That would be cool. The messed up thing is I know a drummer and a guitarist that are old friends of mine, but the drummer lives in Florida and the guitarist lives in Japan. They might as well be on the moon as far as any good that does us, unless we went down there, which there aren't any immediate plans to do so. To be honest, we live in a crappy location to where we can find people that are in the music we play, or they flake out because we've played with famous people and they think they can't compete or some stupid crap like that.

You need to get in touch with Leslie, and Corky. They're pretty decent.

It's funny you mentioned them, since my girlfriend was right below the apartment where Felix was killed and was there when it happened.

I hadn't seen him for a couple of years, and was knocked back when I heard through a mutual friend about his demise.

I'll probably go back to this one a lot, when I get this one in.

I was playing the Olympic White Jazz yesterday, and for a Fretted bass it plays great. The Fretless Jazz does spoil me though.

I've been playing a lot on my Squier Jazz lately. Probably because I've spent most of my time playing in my office, where I keep it, and haven't fired up the Orange stack, where I have the Schecter, and other instruments, in a long time. I'm hoping that will change pretty soon, though.
