The Hartke HA2500 / 112b.
I thought I was supposed to get a toque hat with it.

What? You didn’t get one, Glenn? That sucks Everybody up here in the North did.

If it’s any consolation, you think you got ripped off? I thought they’d send me Hartke gear when I bought the toque.

What’s this world coming to,

Nice combo all the same.

Thank you.
I knew I should've bought the hat when I had the chance to. It had one of those mail in coupons to get the amp gear, but I didn't have any stamps, so I tossed the coupon. Image

 Amazing coincidence. I once bought some western boots, went to a stampede, but they wouldn’t give me a coupon for a Stetson. I guess we got licked, Glenn. Personally, I think all cowboys should ditch the Stetson and wear a toque. They’re easier to stuff into a saddlebag.

Lemme put it in perspective. Try and stuff a Fender bass and a stack into a saddlebag. Ya can’t do it. Phht!

That didn’t make any sense; but, it is on topic.

Only a godless, Commie rat bastard wouldn't include a toque hat with your amp! What's the world coming to! :P God, I sound like my dad, or something. :P

Actually, the whole "Commie" or "Communist" thing was kind of a joke with my siblings, since my grandparents on my mother's side were actually Russian and Ukrainian immigrants, and fled the Soviet Union when Stalin was in power, and eventually made it to the US in 1926. They didn't stick around there, and got out when the getting was good. I do believe I have family still over there, but I have no idea who, what, or where. It would be interesting to find out, and see what their story is. Wouldn't it be a hoot if I was related to Putin? :P Anyhow, my dad wasn't really into the whole "Red Scare" type of thing from back in the Cold War days, but he was on the conservative side, I suppose you'd say. At least he never gave me crap for having long hair, or anything like that, whenever I did. :P

Hey! You gave me an idea. We could promote toques to the kids that always have Dad dumpin’ on ‘em for long hair. Dad wouldn’t know, and the kids with short hair could give the impression they have long hair. We’ll set aside the next version for maximizing profit.

We could get the kids to pay a premium to have us receive their long hair cuttings (should Dad get his way). Then we’ll weave their locks into a toque and send it back. We could even offer a colour change and optional extensions. :P
Maybe, Fender would like to jump on board so we can buy some custom stuff, Paul. If this works out, we can go public so everyone can cash in on Custom gear and swag.

So Glenn ....
With all the personal hands-on experience you've been gathering by swapping guitars and amps so frequently in the past several years, what would you say is the best amp for your purposes .... of the ones that you've tried so far?
I'll be honest, I really thought you were going to declare the search over when you sunk your hooks into that TC rig .... oh .... about 20 amps ago. LOL.

If you were being coerced into choosing any one amp rig that you have already owned and you had to commit to it for life, where do you think you'd land?
Yes, you have to choose only one and it's yours for life without chance for trade .... or parole. LOL

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

When I was living in Maine I was a fan of the Mad Bomber hat complete with bunny fuzz.

Them are pretty cool for sure, Rev’. You’ll see the odd one around here too; but, usually in 50° or more below. At those temperatures there’s no one around to see your style. Besides, toques are PETA free, and they look better with a beer, eh?

The current Hartke setup, seems to be the best odds on favorite.

Yeah, the Fender Player Jazz, and the Hartke HA250 / 112b setup, is fine. Image
