Yeah, maybe someday I might be able to get another hollow body 6-string, but I'd probably upgrade with another hollow body bass before I did that. Something a little nicer than what I have now, with better pickups. It's not bad, though. Especially, since it only was $100.

Good point about the purchase price to start with.

That's the same one you had the last time you had one?

Yeah,..... but it when back today. Some unforeseen medical bills came in that changed those plans of keeping the Mustang PJ. Oh well, that happens. I still have the AC Jazz, and the Hofner 500/1.

Ya' never know what life is going to throw your way. I'm more than doing fine with the two basses I have.

Glad you're keeping your chin up, Glenn. Sorry to hear about those dang medical bills though.

I'm no different than a lot of other folks are with that, so I'll just "Keep On Truckin'!"

I am able to handle reacquiring my Epi Viola. A lot less than the Mustang was.

Good that you were able to get it back. Did you leave those strings on there, or did you have to change them out again? I've only changed the strings on my violin bass once, and it was a pain in the arse to do so, because of how that bridge is.

In 1974, or thereabouts, I traded an SG for a late '60s Strat, traded the Strat for a late-'50s Tele, and then bought a '58 Strat from a dealer in NYC. It had that sweet heart-shaped neck, and cost me $275.

I was hooked.

Since then, it's been nothing but Strats and Teles (most of them pre-CBS) with only two exceptions: a Lake Placid Blue Mustang which I had briefly in the '80s, and an Aria TS-300, which I traded the Mustang for. The Aria is still here and set up for slide.

I retired from playing about 16 years ago, and just got back into it. I gave my old blue floral Tele to my daughter, and picked up a Surf Green Classic Series '50s Strat of 2001 vintage. The neck profile is similar to that of the '58, and I couldn't resist... It's now got Duncan SSL-5s with some added switching, and is plugged into a Champion 20, which I love.

I left the Nylons on, mainly because I had no other bass the ETB92M Nylons would fit on.

It doesn't matter, it's out of here with a poor fit in the neck pocket. Back to AC Jazz, and the Hofner 500/1.

You had some classic guitars, there. Do you still have the '58 Strat?
