I'm back to playing the Am. Std. Jazz.

Had to, unless someone else was going to pay some new bills.

Yeah, I know what you mean. That sucks you had to do that. Maybe you might be able to get it back, if you want down the road.

Yeah, but this is the real world here. I do really like my USA Geddy Lee Jazz. I prefer it to the "PJ" Precision. The best move for me anyway.

Yeah, whatever works. You know speaking of which (and it's even related to the topic,) I'm going to try to get at least two of my basses fixed pretty soon. It's going to be the Ibanez CT Series and the old workhorse P Bass Lyte. They just have shorts in their electronics, most likely the jack, and should be the easiest to deal with. We just have to find a place to do the repairs. As for the Peavey, that's still going to be on the back burner, unfortunately. Technically, it does work, but it has that A string buzz issue, which I've talked about before. The reason we're deciding to finally jump on this now is because although I love my Schecter, it's pretty a heavy instrument, and it kills my back after an hour of playing it standing up. I want to have the ability to swap out basses for shows and things like that, so it gives me a break. Although, I have been doing a lot of walking lately, so that's been helping me get into better shape these days, sans my bad gall bladder issue.

Another thing, my girlfriend also plays bass, besides all of the other things she does, and the Schecter was a bit much for her to play. She likes the Fender P Bass Lyte, or the Ibanez to play on, so that'll will be good for her to use as well.

I almost was going to sell the Schecter, but she and eventually myself, talked me out of that. I know I would have regretted it, just like the 50's Reissue P Bass and Kawai bass I use to have. It's weight, as heavy as it is, also gives it it's sound, and the action is perfect. Plus, they don't make them anymore, so that's that. I'll just keep it and swap it out when I need to.

It's a good thing to have a couple of back ups. A string buzz issue is a pain.

I figure with the gear I have, I'm doing fine. No problems here.

That's always a good thing when you're square with your gear. Of course, there is always a chance of GAS. :P

Yeah, I know that too well. It was a bit of a tough choice as to which one to cut out though. But not really by comparing the two basses, for my personal preferences. The GL was the one to hang on to.

If things work out, the "PJ" Precision may be back in the fold.
