You know, I had thought that they had quit making those, but I guess I was wrong. I know he had some purple color ones out, with a Precision and a Jazz, I think.

Yeah,.... they have, or had the heavy purple sparkle finishes, but they never dropped the Sherwood Green Metallic green, Adam Clayton Jazz.

The funny thing about that, is I do remember talking to you about imagining that bass in another finish, like Burgundy Mist, which is pretty much like a purple color. I don't know why that particular color popped into my head at the time, maybe I was looking at something that was that finish.

I don't know, for me the Sherwood Green Metallic never stopped being my favorite finish for the AC Jazz.

Nice looking bass. 8) You get a chance to put it through the paces yet?

Thank you. The Sherwood Green Metallic is one of my favorites too. Kinda' cool having the matching colored head on it too.

Thank you. Yes I did today for close to two hours. I have the feel this AC Jazz will compliment the Player Jazz pretty darn good. It's everything I was expecting it to be, and play as well as it does. very smooth, and quick.

Would you say it had a more of a 60's or 70's Jazz feel to it?

The sound I'd say was 60's, but the neck configuration is more modern, being a custom "C" profile. I almost felt like I was playing a fretless. It's great.

Yeah, I know the original neck radius for the 60's and 70's models were 7.25", which they still do on some reissue models, I guess.

The stopped me from getting a 60's Jazz I think it was, because of the more curved 7.25" radius. I like a flatter radius board than 7.25" radius. 9.5" Is fine.

When I had an actual '77 Jazz Bass, it had that original radius to it, but it's been so many years since I played it, and haven't touched a neck that had one since then, that I don't remember what that was like in comparison.

Try out a Marcus Miller Jazz Bass. It's an exact replica of his 77 right down to the 3 bolt neck joint.
