I'm getting back to playing this one again.

Sounds good. 8) I've been playing a lot more of the violin bass, lately.

There is something unique about playing a Violin bass. Go for it!

Yeah, although the pickups aren't the greatest on it, compared to the Ibanez. Well, it's not like it's an actually Hofner, or even an Epiphone copy, so I guess that's to be expected.

I wasn't that totally impressed by the German Hofner I had, as compared to the 1969 EKO I played back then.

I've heard that Eko guitars were pretty decent. They also made the Vox guitars, from what I read. If the Vox ones were made in Italy, then it was them. The company is still around, too. I actually came across one of those old Eko violin basses in a music shop, many moons ago. It was the green sunburst model with the block thing on the headstock. I think that was their more common models of those. Of course, I didn't have the funds to get it, otherwise I would have, since I've wanted a hollow body bass since I started playing at 16. At the time, it was pretty rare to even see one in any shop. No internet back then, so what you saw in a shop was what you got.

The EKO I had in 1969 was incredible. Gone but never forgotten.

I'm back with an Olympic White Mustang PJ. It plays, and looks great!

Yeah, I remember you told me some rat bastard stole it. That would be something if you could somehow have it returned, but something like that happening is rare as rocking horse poop.

I take it that it's not the same one you had previously, is it?

No, that was the Electric Lady with JMH's signature on it from my father.

No, the one I had previous to this one, had more of a Rosewood look to the fretboard than this one has. I do really like the Pau Ferro grain in this one.

You were right, I misread that. That was the the one with the signature on the back, and it was stolen. Sometimes I can't even read what I type. Sorry.
