That shouldn't take to long.

Yeah, depending on how much I play on it.

Even just the tension pulling them until they take a set.

Quite a few of those, actually. Although, I wouldn't play using my teeth. :P

 At my age you might be able to take some or all of them out, and put them in your hand. Hey! That’s not a bad idea. I’ll have to throw away the pick and try that. I wonder if the tone will improve. :P

The USA Geddy Lee Jazz was the first bass to play through the Fender / Ampeg setup. The sounds are amazing! Image

I know what you mean. It will probably be by the end of the month by the time I even plug the Ibanez into the Orange rig. It's sort of pointless to haul it out of the next room, hook everything up, then plug it in just to see what it sounds like, when I have the Fender at the ready, right next to me. Well maybe not pointless, but I'm too friggin' lazy to deal with it. :P

I know the way that goes. Sometimes I just get tired of moving gear around.

That's why, if possible, it's great if you can have more than one amp. Less stuff you have to move, when you already have something there to begin with. Although, I generally prefer to bring my own amp to a gig, and not use whatever happens to be around.

Using your own gear is the best for sure.

Yeah, especially if something goes wrong with it, then you don't have to worry about being responsible.
