Okay, the DiMarzio's are installed. I did some before and after recordings of each position, neck, mid and bridge, using a Red House backing track. I did the intro and one verse on each position. I know the tone is not optimal for Red House, and I'm doing a creative interpretation of what Jimi did. But, all volume and tone positions on the guitar, amp, input device etc. are all the same for each recording. Also, I used the same strings, so there's no difference except the pickups. The Lollar P90 I put in the bridge of my HSS isn't noisy at all. I expected to deal with a lot of hum but it is as quiet as my Vintage Noiseless pickups. Has a lot of power in the low end but not much highs. Even with the bass turned all the way down on the amp and the treble turned all the way up it is still boomy.
