25th Anniversary of the Roger Waters concert in Berlin. OK now I'm feeling old. But anyway, I have this playing today:

I was actually listening to that yesterday. I've been listening to their entire catalog the past couple of days chronologically. Before that, I haven't listened to The Wall in years, maybe hearing a song or two here and there on the radio.

I get some of Pink Floyd's songs in my head for a few days at a time. "Comfortably Numb" is one. "One Of These Days" is another. Not bad company I guess.

No, because Paul Rodgers wasn't in that band. Har, har, slap your knees. :P

Wouldn't it be funny if Paul Rogers and Roger Waters put out an album together and called the project: Rogers-Waters? :)

I didn't go to many concerts, but I went to this one. It was quite an experience being there with half a million of my closest friends. We were way in the back and couldn't really see much, but very memorable in a lot of ways. It was still a divided city and country at the time, although headed for unification.

They didn't allow us to bring cameras into the area so I don't have pictures from the show, but here is one of me tearing down The Wall about 6 months later.

So awesome !! I never have had so much hope for the future as I did on that day, and the weeks that followed. I grew up under the threat of communism and on that day it was like a giant weight had been lifted off of me.

Too bad it didn’t last.
