Just this last 6 months, I've ordered a $1300 strat and a $700+ Fishman Loudbox Performer amp.....and that's just in the last 6 months.
Every time I attempt to order online, I've had to struggle and pull teeth to get through their online ordering page.....only to have to give up and CALL them.
Today, i attempted to order a Snark tuning pedal.....and this time, my required phone number would'nt take.
It's always SOMETHING when attempting to place an online order there......at least for me.
I've ordered tubes from other vendors as well as many other things from online vendors...but always hit a snag when ordering from MF.
Does anyone else have probems online ordering from them? Am I just unlucky?
Is there another like online company (NOT affiliated wth MF)?

Never had a problem with MF except with my Squier Bass VI, but every place had a problem keeping up with demand for those.

I have noticed that they seem to hold less inventory than in the past and that even low demand items sometimes have extended delivery dates now.

Nobody wants to hold inventory.

Try Sweetwater.

Their site is very user-friendly and easy to navigate and if you prefer to speak 1:1 with a sentient, breathing soul, their sales staff are both knowledgeable and courteous.

It is possible, even likely, that you have a browser issue, maybe something as simple as cookie settings.

I agree as far as Sweetwater is concerned for online ordering. I've ordered some accessories from them in the past and they are the best IMO.

I also prefer sweetwater,

but regarding MF, have you signed up for an online account where all your information is stored in your account? if you just login before you add to your cart, and once you hit check out, it knows who you are. you can even select preferred payment or leave that for entering when you order.

This might save you some teeth..

Sweetwater has great shipping and relatively fast turnaround, and their photo service is nice.

Sweetwater's 55-point evaluation for guitars leaves a lot to be desired, though. Like someone actually inspecting the guitars.
I have ordered two guitars from them, and both had problems that should not have passed even a cursory inspection. One a loose wire inside causing a volume pot to not work, and the other a fairly large spot on the front where the lacquer had been buffed through. No mea culpa from their sales reps either.

Well....I decided to buy a tuning pedal from Amazon (although I once had a bad experience in trying to return a defective product). I decided on the Boss TU-3 instead of the Snark pedal.
For the money, Amazon offers bundle packages:

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss? ... u-3+bundle

Much better deals.

I go with Sweetwater. I've never had a problem and they have always done everything in their power to make sure I'm satified with their service. Three quick testimonials:
1. I ordered Dlx Strat Plus, but there was cridit card issue (on my bank's side). I needed the guitar quickly so Sweetwater made sure that the problem was resolved and got me the guitar. There were even great unpacking instructions for cold weather.
2. I pre-ordered the Digitech TRIO. Sweetwater didn't have a delivery date, but made sure I would get one as soon as possible and kept me in the loop with updates. The TRIO is awesome!
3. I've been waiting on Fender to get the new Personality Cards out for the Dlx Strat Plus (a wonderfully useful and versitile guitar), and my Sweetwater rep gives me a call every so often with updates.

I'm not a employee of Sweetwater, or sponsored by them, but they are AWESOME! Check out my review of the Dlx Stat Plus on YouTube.

I was using a Galaxy Tab S tablet, which has no problem ordering from any other site.
It may be that a pc is required to input that phone number on the order page (which I don't think should be relevant anyway).
I tried to go into an old account I used to have....but that must have been from an old discontinued email address.
Bottom line....If OTHER vendors can accommodate an order from a tablet, so should MF....or DON'T HAVE ONLINE ORDERING.

Sweetwater seems to have more products in stock. For example, I couldn't find the Nektar series of keyboards on MF.

I had one experience with Sweetwater. I called to order something (I can't even remember what it was), but my "engineer" wanted to help me make my decision. I had already made up my mind and just wanted to place the order, but he kept asking me questions and wouldn't let me go. I never dealt with them again.

Maybe he was new and eager. Dunno. That said, I've heard nothing but good things about them. BTW, I just bought a MIDI keyboard a few minutes ago . . . from MF.

And that is PRECISELY why I want to place my orders mostly online.....without a rep trying to sell me an additional warranty....or looking for an opportunity to sell me something else.

Don't get me wrong....i appreciate a rep IF I HAVE A QUESTION, but otherwise expect an online order option to WORK and not take all night. And if my memory serves me right...it was ALSO inputing my phone number or zip code that were the snags before.

The last 3 times I attempted to order from MF.....and wound up having to waste additional time in the end ordering from a rep, I was told to go into the help menu....and describe my problem....and wait for an answer......wasting even MORE of my time. I asked the rep if HE could just inform IT of the phone number/zip code issues so that next time i could more easiy navigate the order page...and he told me to do it myself.

Like i said before, i have zero problems ordering anywhere else....anytime. MF needs to put a boot under the butt of their IT person.

OK- I went on to MF and again tried to order a different item just now.....and sure enough could'nt successfully input my required phone number with my Samsung Galaxie Tab S tablet.

Obviously, one needs a pc to input the phone number correctly.
If anyone else has a tablet, try it. I suspect that MF did not design this parameter to be compatible with android. .......but everyone ELSE's order page does.
