I was waiting to make my 100th post in the 'Friday the 13th' thread, but, I missed it. I want to share that I spent a fantastic Friday the 13th in Indianapolis at the Buddy Guy concert at the Indy Jazz Fest. Pretty much the same show he did the last time I saw him a while back, but the sound and Buddy's 'tude were top notch. He even spent a while out in the mud with the wireless so that was a treat too. Buddy even signed a photo I took last time.

The best part though was reconnecting with one of the nicest guys, and hottest guitarists you'll ever meet...Buddy's sideman Ric Hall. What a job huh? Playing next to Buddy Guy every night? I've been very fortunate to have met many notable musicians over the years, some were gracious and kind and some were...not, but for flat out NICE, nobody beats Ric. Here he is at work with the boss.

Finally, here's a pic from the show for your viewing pleasure. Have a great weekend everyone!

Buddy is the best! He's the original Blues Rocker !!

His shows can be a bit challenging -- starting and stopping songs, playing everyone's songs but his own. Still, he's one of my top 5 favorites.

He sometimes lets an attitude of "I should have been bigger than Hendrix, Clapton, and SRV" take over. I guess it's a old "wound" because he should have gotten big in the late '60s instead of waiting for the '90s for the recognition he deserved.

I've seen him three times in South Florida. Would like to go to Legends, his club in Chicago, when he's performing there or even just to hang out at the bar with him which he does often when he's in town. Also, I'd like to visit the current club before they shut down and move to the new location later this year.

Savannah, GA mid 90's, one of the best shows I've seen in my Life. What a Legend!
