That's funny. I was listening to him right at the time I responed to this thread, and I almost included him. You are a better man than me... 8)

TOY CALDWELL

Ah yes, the magic thumb. Well mentioned.
Which brings to mind - how about Hughie Thomasson of the Outlaws?

And I will drink to that. Did you ever hear Jimmy Thackery play with Tab Benoit??
Absolutely! The Jimmy Thackery and Tab Benoit CD "Whiskey Store" is Great! As a matter of fact, I'm going out to put that CD in my truck to listen to tomorrow! :D 8)

Hey, How about Les Dudek ? After Duane Allman died the Allman Bros. went into the studio and recorded the "Brothers And Sisters" album. Who do you think played those double lead cuts with Dickey Betts on "Ramblin Man" and "Jessica" ? It was Les Dudek ! This guy is basically an unknown, but everyone's heard him play on these two songs! I have three solo albums by him and he's absolutely amazing! If you can find some old stuff by him, check him out!

Robbie Robertson of The Band i mean even Clapton was nervous for double tracking one of the songs on his record that Robbie played on.

Bucket Head of Gun's N' Roses. Slash (Saul Hudson) was WAY better.
