Well I have to say Paul McCartney

Cheers.

Paul was the bass player not the guitarist

Sir Paul started out on guitar and became the bassist by default, but he played a lot of guitar on Beatles records. For example, he played the lead on George Harrison's "Taxman". I always assumed it was George. John, George and he all take turns playing in that round-robin guitarfest in "The End" almost the last track on the Abby Road CD.

Michael Woods. He plays guitar with America at shows. I saw him a while back. Great guitarist.

I've always thought that Ace Frehley didn't get enough praise.

Roy Clark, Saw him in Nashville a long time ago before HeeHaw. He played several Genres of music equally well. I thought when he played the blues he really stood out Ray Charles played the piano during that set it was truly incredible.

Buckethead. I recently watched some of his videos and it's amazing how many styles of music and instruments he can pull off with ease. I mainly thought of him being more of a shred guitarist, but I was extremely mistaken when I saw some of the things he did with a guitar.
