I don't think Stevie Ray Vaughn gets the respect he needs. (needed)

He used to, but latley I've noticed a tendency to minimalize his abillities and accomplishments, especially in Guitar Player and some other mags. But I wouldn't go so far as to say he's overrated

Easton is great, too. I didn't apreciate Neil Giraldo till I went to see Pat Benatar (with Berlin and Patty Smyth). He held the whole show together, just him a Bass Player and a Drummer. He was very busy and very "on" that night. And His Spyder Guitars are Bithchen!

Rory Gallagher by far is underrated but you never hear about Bert Jansch and John Renbourn two great folk guitarists. Neil Young also rarely gets the credit he deserves.

Rory Gallagher
John Renbourn
Bert Jansch
Neil Young

Rory Gallagher no doubt..

Jimi Hendrix himself said Rory was the greatest guitarist in the world yet he's no where near as big as Jimmy Page, Pete Townshend, EVH, etc.

Yes Roy Buchanan was very under-rated. Maybe I'm wrong but didn't he hang himself in jail in Greenville,SC?
