Once again form another post....

Scotty Anderson tears up the Fender Telecaster.

You got to hear this guy. His musicianship is hard to put in words.

Great recordings from top to bottom.

Hey Fellow Fender Addicts-

Henry Garza of "Los Lonely Boys" I feel is under rated-

Steve Cropper is another.

Lindsey Buckingham. Some of the stuff he's done is off the charts, merging studio and able playing.

THere are always who is the best guitarist threads, but here is a spin on it. Who are the most underrated/under appriciated guitarist out there I am going to start with Prince and Eldon Shamblin of the Texas Playboys

We've run this question around several threads and it seems to me that most of the names appearing above may be more unsung than underrated. Unfortunately, what sells magazines may have more to do with press than performance, and also whether an artist is a solo act or an intrinsic part of a band.

Seems to me that the respondents have a pretty clear idea of the players of worth by their familiarity with their work, otherwise the names would certainly not be forthcoming.

Someone earlier in the thread asked about female guitarists, and I know there've been a few listed, but it would be great to hear of some more female guitarists of note, as I'm new at this and looking for role models!

One that's come to my attention recently is

Allison Robertson (aka Donna R) from The Donnas

Would it be appropriate to start a new thread? Let me know if this has been done before.

Want role models....depends on your gig: Debbie Austin, Lita Ford,
Susan Tedeschi for starters. Digging back into history...Mary Kaye, Mary Ford, and there's an all-time great female session master whose name I can't retrieve at the moment, but one of us will dig it for you I am sure.
Stay tuned for the weather report...it's gonna rain guitar players.

Girl School from the old days and was there a couple of cool female guitarists in a band called Heart,
Yes you could possibly start a thread.
As always here, ' Your choice ' and welcome to the forums.

I would say Terrence Hobbs of Suffocation.

The only people that know of him are the most brutal metal fans around, which is sad because there aren't many of them.

Crappy bands like 'Disturbed' and 'Linkin Park' have put the true metal bands like Suffocation in the shadows.
