Turned the amp off again and pulled out my trusty Martin OM21 Special. Here's my Fingerstyle Instrumental take on Big Bill's great tune Hey Hey. Nothing special, just a quick take, sitting on the couch here using my Apogee Mic into my Macbook Pro.

I recommend sticking some headphones on. Hopefully the link will work.

It seems to follow up immediately with my Little Wing Instrumental, I'm not sure how to stop that yet, since I just started using the Soundcloud thingo.

Very nice snowy. I don't know anything about the autoplay/repeat function in sound cloud. Was that you playing the 2nd track also, sounded like it to me.

Good one - nice playing and sound :D Anyway , I guess the track could benefit from a touch of compression, to even out some hard strokes to the bass strings and bringing the total volume up a bit ;-)

Thanks Mate, yeah I'm not much of an Audio Engineer  Actually you'd probably laugh if you saw how I recorded these tunes, literally sitting on the couch and just point my Apogee mic at the guitar. I really only record them as an excercise to listen back and hear where I need to work on my playing. The fact that the tunes come out in any way decent is testimony to the little Apogee Mic really.

Thanks heaps for the feedback, I will check out adding a touch of compression to my next tune 8)

Thanks Babalooga! :D Much appreciated.

People are probably wondering why am I posting this Acoustic stuff, well the truth is I am not in a band at the moment (again) and while that blows, I increasingly find my Acoustic guitars giving me more enjoyment when playing at home. Sticking a Mic in front every now and then keeps me honest  and trying to improve, while enabling me to share some of my playing.

Cheers Snowy, I really liked that, always like hearing stuff from forum members, and the little titbits of advice from others are gems eh. Never thought about compression when I was listening to it, a'mans better tuned ear I guess. Just wondered how you go about that when recording straight to the apogee mic.

G'day Mate, thanks for the feedback, really appreciated.

Once the Mic is plugged into my Mac via USB, the recording software used in my case is GarageBand, so I could use the compressor tools in the software to add a
little compression in there.
