Here... Here !!

We Americans truly underappreciate our neighbor to the North !

I LOVE Canada !!

Canada is our #1 Customer... and always has been.. !!

I was married in Montreal !

I live in a state which borders Canada - the longest undefended Border in the World !! Imagine the Tax Burden if we had to have a Military Presence along it !!

And, I will forever be grateful to the Canadian Government, Canadian ambassador to Iran, Ken Taylor, Canadian immigration officer John Sheardown, Canadian Secretary of State for External Affairs Flora MacDonald and Canadian Prime Minister Joe Clark for the risks they took in harboring and aiding to smuggle out our six American diplomats to safety and freedom !

They accomplished waay more than our own Peanut-Farmer led government did:

Happy Canada Day!

cheers!

Happy Canada Day to everyone!

Those were welcoming words of kindness Lightnin' and Arjay. Americans and Canadians are not so different, and are like brothers and sisters who share a great deal.

Since my boyhood days, I have spent summers throughout the USA, and I have relatives in America from East to West. In my 20s I circumnavigated North America by destroyer (during the Cold War), and I spent time on U.S. bases and at the USO where I was treated like a family member. I worked with American broadcasters, and reps from American RV factories, and met many boaters from the U.S. Along the way I met many acquaintances, and made many American friends from all walks of life.

Strange that people are quick to judge and even quicker to paint a whole population with one brush colour. It would be better to check the whole paint box to see the full beauty that lies inside.

I will not only say that I am glad to call Americans my friends; but. I will defend the right to say so. You are alwats welcome to see Niagara Falls from the Canadian side, as long as we can see the Grand Canyon and Old Faithful and . . .

Happy July 4th neighbours. :D

Thanks SBLS! Been an amazing day hiking up to the cabin and swimming in the lake to cool down.

I am a lucky, grateful man!

Peace

Happy Canada Day, y'all! :D

Literally every Canadian we met on our travels was extremely kind. Rude Americans? Met lots of those. Rude Frenchmen? Yep. Rude British people? A few. Rude Canadians? Not a single one of 'em. Seriously, y'all are fantastic!

Sadly, they exist. We do our best to run them out of town without their 'pants'.
If that doesn't work, we banish them to the Canadian Arctic where the Mexican food is terrible. :D

Happy Canada Day. Being originally from Michigan, I have met my share of Canadians and never met one who was anything but nice.
