I have to admit, it sort of does. :lol: Everyone there was very surprised by my routine drive times, about 45 minutes each way for wherever I want to go in Houston on average, and two and a half hours each way to Austin once a week. People were surprised that we were driving "all the way" to Skye from Stirling, but that was only a four hour drive. For Texans, that's practically around the corner!

By the way, speaking of the wildlife trying to kill you, last week we had three Alligator attacks near Houston. One of them was fatal. Seriously, I don't understand why people go swimming here.
