Man, it hasn't been a good year with the classics. :( http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-33279566 I didn't see that show when it first came out, since I was born in 1971, but loved watching those episodes on DVD and syndication. To me, it was one of the cool things about the 60's. RIP, Patrick Macnee

Patrick was also an integral part of the original Battlestar Galactica television series, having provided the narration at the start of each episode and later portraying the nefarious Count Iblis.

+1
I had a steady diet of the original Avengers series and sorely missed it when it went out of production. It was weird, it was campy, it was great, and Patrick was great.

Peace be with you Agent John Steed.

I loved him in Waxworks , which was a horror film from the 80's that had David Warner as the villain. To this day, whenever it's on TV I always try to catch it.

Thanks for sharing. I too have been a long time fan of The Avengers and also remember Macnee's stint in the original BSG as well. Leonard Nimoy, Sir Christopher Lee, B.B. King and now Patrick Macnee...seems like 2015 has already taken some great people and some of my all time favorites.

I remember that episode on Magnum P.I. I have the Magnum P.I. box set with the entire series and remember seeing that one awhile back when I was watching a bunch of those.

I also remember him on Battlestar Galactica vaguely. I haven't seen that show since it was out (late 70's?) and I was a little kid.
