I'm waiting for a mission statement to the customers from him on Fender's main page.

F.M.I.C. is privately owned and closely held by a small group of investors... So there is no shareholder equity or closing price. The amount of overt negativity and anti-Fender sentiment on this board is shameful.

Every company, Public or Private has a valuation and the Fender Investors want that valuation to rise not fall. It is this valuation which makes Bank Loans possible, both for the business and personally for the investor. Their stock has an ever-changing collateral value.

Every Private Investor 'parks' their money in the Private Company, but few will keep it there if there is significantly more to be made by placing it elsewhere.

And, the future is always uncertain in a Private Company. Inheritance, Divorce and Change of Heart almost always come into play at some point. The Private Company which gives a better-than-average equity growth is more likely to perpetuate than one which does not.

Let's just hope that in his tenure, Mooney strengthens the company and keeps a clear focus on the Vision.

If he's coming in with grandiose plans to alter the course, the result could be less than hoped.

Whatever happens to FMIC from this point on, is not likely to have great effect on me anyway.

cheers!
