I'm not big on festival crowds and stuff, and Milwaukee is too far for me to drive (especially with gas prices being what they are). I like to attend a local festival that's always a hit. Bamfest '08
Last year the headliner was Johnny Winter, and among other artists featured were Rory Block, David "Honeyboy" Edwards, and Ana Popovic. Small crowds, beautiful weather, plenty of micro brew beer, two days of awesome entertainment, and it's 15 minutes away from my house. Can't beat it. 8)

Warped Tour, if it counts, was pretty good up until last year and this year. It's getting away from it's roots and getting a little too poppy for my tastes.

How is it that this gets no pub down here?
(All Summerfest all the time!)
This sounds really cool, especially Sonny Landreth, anyone who likes the Coral Reefers or John Hiatt will dig this.

No idea. It's being promoted on a couple Madison radio stations, along with Summerfest of course.
It's a well-kept secret? Sonny is a slide guitar god. 8)

Ft. Lauderdale Blues Festival.

Bringing it back to the river was not the great idea everyone thought it would be. New high-rise condos with people who don't like noise after 9:30p.

Hard Rock Calling this weekend was absolutely amazing. Eric Clapton, Robert Randolph, John Mayer, Sheryl Crow and The Police at the same place, that's about as much awesomness as I can take in!
