SWR, I had a Workingman 2004 bass head, beautiful sounding 200 watts, I needed more power so traded for a 300 watt GK bass head. Hope your Rumble is ok.

200 watts would be plenty for me! Might get the SWR but really like the Rumble better. With all the new Rumble models out it seems like it would be easy to find a used one but after a year this was the first I found. Have since found a used Rumble 40 but not sure about it. Would be fine for practicing bass by itself but think my tube amp would overpower it when jammin. My brother uses a 300 watt bass amp for practicing around the house - is the smallest he has except for a 70 in the RV. Was hoping for something better for him to play through when he visits. If my son and I are playing guitar while he plays bass through the Rumble 40 we are going to drown him out. Been thinking about the new Rumble 100 1 x 10 combo but I like the looks of the older 150 better and I like the front mounted controls. Plus don't want to pay more for 50 less watts and a 10 inch speaker instead of a 15. Maybe if they fix it enough times I can talk them into a nice credit towards a good bass overdrive pedal. the Rumble works fine clean but mutes when I push the drive button. I'm sure I can find a pedal out there that would give me better tone than the Rumble's overdrive. I've bought plenty of guitars, amps, and accessories from them through the years and they want to keep me happy. The only issue I've had with them was a used pedal a few years ago - they gave me the power supply for a powered speaker. Was way too much voltage and fried in a few minutes but they gave me the next best pedal they had(which was the one I wanted anyway but didn't want to spend the extra money for it).
