Hey guys. Me again. I was wondering if any of you use(d) the Joyo PXL-PRO FX loop?
As my gear grows bigger and as I delve more into different effects and how they work together, I get more and more frustrated with tap dancing whenever a solo part comes in. So I am considering buying a loop and so far I've read great reviews about the Joyo loop, but (as always) usually people write a review a day or two after they've bought the product and of course it'll be all bells and whistles and how good it is. But I am not buying something to last me a month or two. The price and functionality look great, but before purchasing I want to know how dependable it is, whether it is noisy, whether the pops occur when changing presets etc.

So, do you guys have any experience with the product and what would you recommend or warn me about? :)

I'm also interested in getting a programmable controller. The Joyo didn't make my final list. I'm not sure why, other than their website doesn't have very much info on it. All of my research is at home, but I know the Gig Rig 2 and a unit from American Loopers are on my list. There's one other that is made near San Diego, CA, but the name escapes me right now. Sorry that I don't have anything for you on the Joyo PXL-PRO. Maybe you can enlighten me. I want to be able to put my modulation through my amps fx loop, have switchable buffer or true bypass, and have easy programming.

Does Guitar Rig 2 work for effects stompboxes? I have Guitar Rig on my comp and I thought the unit you can hook up works only for selecting presets on your computer instead of doing it via mouse click?
Anyway, as far as the Joyo PXL-PRO goes, yeah I agree, the info on Joyo's site is quite vague. I watched a couple youtube reviews and it has the option of having either 1 bank of 8 effects connected either pre-amp or in amp's fx loop (well, you can have any number of effects daisy chained and put them in 1 loop of the 8 available and you can, of course, have any number of effects pre-Joyo or post-Joyo) or having 2 banks of 4 effects/loops with one bank of 4 being pre-amp and one bank of 4 being in amp's fx loop. So yeah, you could run your modulation through the amp's FX loop and into the Joyo, but you can't, for instance, make it use up only one out of 8 Joyo's loops, it can be set to use 4, none or all 8. From what I've seen on Youtube and read in reviews - the inactive loops are in true bypass, the signal doesn't pass through them at all. If you don't have any of the loops turned on, the signal will pass from the guitar to the Joyo and then straight into the amp. It also has a tuner-out and a mute button (I personally don't need it as my tuner mutes the amp and I'd just put it pre-Joyo probably to avoid any possible coloring of the signal). The programming seems to be quite straightforward, from what I've seen, although I don't know how difficult the 'triggers' (they can, for instance, change your amp's channel if you program them to do so) are in terms of programming. But all in all, again from what I've seen on youtube, you can get the unit up and working in like 30 mins, maybe an hour (that's with setting up all the patch cables, etc.)
You get 32 presets, 8 banks with 4 presets in each bank (and from 0 to all 8 loops being active in any given preset), 1 button to mute the thing, 2 buttons to move up and down between banks and 4 buttons to select presets :)

Thanks for the info on the Joyo. I don't know what Guitar Rig 2 is. What I mentioned is Gig Rig 2, which is a pro quality programmable looper.
There' about a dozen good loopers out there, that I found. I'll post some links when I get home.

Here is one of my top picks. I'm leaning towards buying this one because it's made pretty close to where I live.

Here is the Gig Rig G2. It's used by a lot of pros and is very easy to program on the fly.

American Loopers is another one of my top choices. They will build one pretty much anyway you want and their prices are very good.

No problem. Thanks for these links, but the products are quite a bit outside my price range :/ The Joyo costs ~150$ on ebay. I don't have a gazillion effects either, that would justify having more loops. At the moment I have 8 effects, including a tuner (which I wouldn't place in the loop anyway) and a clean booster that works as a buffer as well. Will have to see whether or not I include that one in the loop, but I am sure I could chain some of these together. Not looking for any more effects at he moment, though. Am pretty satisfied with what I've got :) I'd maybe just add a flanger some time down the road in the mix, but that would still leave me with 8 effects that would be placed in the loop.
