Don't forget the plastic Santa Clauses. :P Hey, long time no see! How have you been? By the way, in case you didn't realize it, I'm no longer posting over at the Conservatory. I got sick of Chef's BS, so there you go. Besides, that place was getting kind of stale. All they ever wanted to do was talk about politics and never anything music related. Not my scene. Don't need the aggravation. :P

Rumble 150:
Bought used and the overdrive section kept blowing so I took it back before the warranty expired.

Blackheart tube amp:
Love it. Can switch off one of the power tubes to cut it down from 15 to 7 watts. On 7 can turn up the gain and get really good tone at low volume. If I need more volume or clean headroom can just kick the second tube back in.

Fender Acoustisonic:
Not bad. If I just need something to plug an acoustic and a mic into then it does a great job.

Fender Rad Bass:
Not bad for acoustic guitar and keyboards, not very good for bass.

Crate:
My first amp. 30 watts, think is a DSP30. Good for acoustic guitar, keyboards, vocals. Used it for bass a few times but wouldn't recommend it.
When I finally got my first electric guitar after 30 or so years of playing acoustic and banjo was the only thing I had to play it through for a few years until I got my Blackheart.

Peavey 100 watt Vypyr:
Is a Peavey AND a modeling amp so not much love for it around here, but I really like it. It does a lot. Has parameters for electric guitar, acoustic guitar, and bass so I can plug anything into it. Built in effects and amp modeling like a Mustang but also instrument modeling so that you can plug in a 6 string electric and make it sound like a 12, or an acoustic or sitar. Doesn't do them very well but can do it. Has a very real sounding bass sim though. Good enough to fool my brother when I plugged a Strat into it and he is a session bass player. The main reason I got it was so that I can run the piezos in my Tele through it while the humbuckers go through the Blackheart but is so versatile and portable that I take it to jams instead of the tube amp.

That does it for my amp collection. Need to replace the Rumble 150 but no hurry, still learning bass and the Peavey will do for that.

I bet for most of us... if we could suddenly get back every piece of musical gear we ever owned; we could open a nice music store!

It's kind of funny...with only a few exceptions, I still have most of the gear I've ever bought over the 30+ years I've been playing. I've traded a few guitars here and there...the '04 Lite Ash Strat for example - fine instrument, but just not to my taste (traded it for a '99 Fat Standard which I love). A few years back I traded a -really- cheap Korean Squier Strat for a low end Ovation acoustic/electric (which is one of my main "bumming around" guitars) and last year I picked up an Ibanez that I really love in another trade. I did sell a CAD mic and a Snark tuner to my bass player last year, but neither was any kind of loss (I got a Sennheiser mic with the money from the CAD and got another Snark for cheaper than I sold the previous one for, LOL). So yea, there have been a few pieces of gear here and there, BUT...I have no regrets about ANY of it. I still have...and still USE gear that I got back in my late teens and I even have the 3/4's Giannini classical that my parents got me when I was 4 (just for reference...I turn 50 next month).

I just won't sell/trade a guitar (or amp, pedal, mic, etc) unless I'm absolutely 110% sure that I just don't want it. I've known too many people over the years who've said "I wish I hadn't of sold my (insert gear here) but...(insert excuse here...money, girlfriend, kids, etc)". I promised myself LONG ago that I'd never be that guy. Even when my wife went thru her run with cancer and there was a serious threat of loosing the house, we still managed to keep every piece of music gear we had (my wife's a musician too).

Of course there's a reason why my studio does look like a small music store (LOL) and of course there's still more stuff I'd like to get/plan to get as time goes on, however after more than 30 years I suspect that I have 95% of the gear I've ever bought and I can honestly say that I've NEVER sold or traded anything that had any value to me.

I just never understood the point of selling a guitar (or amp, etc) that you enjoy...and I hope I never do!

I did it just once in the '70s. I'll never do it again!

A lifetime of amps . . . my memory just isn't that good!

Alamo - 10W, 10" speaker, '60s vintage
Uni-Vox U65RN, early '70s
Ovation Cat System, 250W, high-frequency horns, 2 channels, built in effects; early '70s
Mako (by Ovation) practice amp, '80s
2002 Fender Princeton 65
2003 Fender Cyber-Champ
2004 Fender Frontman 15B, practice amp for the basses
2007 Fender Vibro-Champ XD
2010 Fender Vibro-Champ XD (warranty replacement for the 2007 model)

I know I've missed a few.
