I've noticed this Japanese Strat that's exclusive to Japan and have taken a liking to it. Its been recently discontinued and I think Fender should make the guitar here in the U.S.

It's alder not basswood. I found out about these guitars after my cousin purchased a Japanese bass the same as the one showed here.
