Haynes is one of my favorites, both as a guitarist and vocalist, in Government Mule and previously w/ Allman Bros. I much prefer his guitar work over Trucks, but that's taste/opinion. You're fortunate to have the chance to see him live....wish I could.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Gov't Mule are one of my favourite bands and Warren Haynes is one of the top guitarists around, you are very lucky to be seeing them live.

I've never seen Government Mule, but I saw Warren a couple of years ago promoting a solo CD. Joe Bonamassa came out and jammed with him for an encore. Warren has a nice touch and very laid back stage presence. Really nice show.

Yeah, you are a lucky son of a... Enjoy it!! Warren is one of my all time guitar heroes, too.

Never seen them live, but for one Allman Bros concert back in 93 or so. (best concert I ever saw, btw) The videos I've seen of their live performances, and the live CD I have are fantastic, though. The youtube comments sections are always full of positive, rave reviews- a rarity on there...

I like his collaborations with other musicians, too, whether he jumps on stage with them or they with him. Lots of special moments, there. There's a video of Gov't Mule covering "Gold Dust Woman" with Grace Potter joining them that just blows me away every time. One of my all time favorite songs, and they make it even better!
