Saw Jeff Beck April 21 :D Man he is amazing and his back up band is incredible. A very happy night for me as he played pieces from the long career that he has had. Rhonda Smith – Bass, she blew me away, Jonathan Joseph – Drums, this guy was spot on with a really good sound, Nicolas Meier – Guitar, a very good compliment for Jeff they played well together, Jimmy Hall – Vocals, for the pieces that had vocals he did a fine job and could really belt it out when needed and pretty good with the harp when needed. All and all a very good evening I was sitting in the 8 rows house right so I did have a good view and the sound was in your face
One thing I did notice is he was playing a reverse head stock white Strat

I saw him a few months ago with the same group. They opened for ZZ Top. It was a great concert all around, but getting to watch Jeff do his thing was really special. Because of him, I'm starting to play more with my fingers and high gain. I probably won't be going pickless anytime soon, but it's a nice change up.
Here's a pic from sound check the night I saw him.

I have seen him three times, once each in the 1980s, the 1990s, and in 2012. The 2012 show was especially cool as it was in the Carnegie Music Hall in Pittsburgh, PA (an exquisitely beautiful and very small venue with tremendous acoustics) that was over a 100 years old. Jeff Beck is always amazing (by pure coincidence, just today I listened to his "Truth" album"...).

Going to see Jeff Beck in May, can't wait! ZZ Top and Tyler Bryant will also be there. :)

That album brings back so many memories, one in particular was driving around in my friends Chevrolet Corvair convertible, drinking Dr. Pepper, most likely smoking something, and listening to Truth via the 8 track cassette, man those were the times, not a care in the world, of course I was 16 at that time

I really like Tyler Bryant, I first heard him on the Fender website about 2 years ago. He has been touring with Jeff Beck at least that long. I think it's pretty cool that someone like Beck would take a young guy like Bryant under his wing.

Now that Rock is old enough now, I would like to see an un-official "mentor program". I stress Un-official, once you get suits involved in something they screw it up.

Pretty sure he also uses the old white '93/'95 hybrid with Suhrs on certain songs - less often than the "Jimi Guitar" he plays since 2014.
