I was wondering how the members
here go about reporting spam or
anything that is against the forum
rules...

Some boards that I frequent have a
triangle in the upper right side of a
post to report such things...

I hate to be a snitch or a tattle tale,,,
but this is a great forum,,, and I'd hope
that it stays that way...

Thanks,,,

You have to email in to report spam and such. They're usually pretty good about spotting it on their own.

I think one of those "report" buttons would be nice. On other forums they usually appear right by the little quote box. It would simplify the process. Maybe something to consider in the future?

I have some additional abuse reporting features planned, but for the time being whenever you see something that's out of line just fire an e-mail to either ForumAdmin@fender.com or webmaster@fender.com or btraweek@fender.com -- they all go to me, so it doesn't matter ... whichever you remember most easily! :-) Folks have been getting really good about notifying me of situations as they occur and I truly appreciate that -- that's a clear sign that folks are takin' pride in the place!

i feel that working a problem out first
with someone is a lot better than ratting someone
out. and i can bet theres a lot of rats here thinking
there going to earn points with fender by telling.
i'm italian and dont like rats. be a man and work
a problem out.

This is true, but sometime the other end of the conflict is a computer that's spamming your forum to death. For situations like this I prefer to just report it.

Yes, that's a fantastic point and just to be clear ... just 'cuz you e-mail doesn't mean I'll do a darned thing. I'm ALWAYS a proponent of folks working things out amongst themselves without me stepping in. :-)

And again, agreed. Use your judgement -- it's pretty clear when someone is here purely for the purpose of stirring up trouble.

Here we go again. I think I'll just lurk in the shadows for this one.
