We have a “Favorite Intro” thread so why not show some love for outros.

This here is probably my favorite. Those clear overdriven jangly chords …

It's a wall of awesomeness at the end of Sheep. Image

I'm not a big G'n'R fan, but I always thought this outro was killer:

One of the greatest intros was to Layla...and that song also contains one of the best outros with the strong piano giving way to the weeping slide guitar playing of Eric and Duane. Duanes final notes are pretty much a perfect ending!

Blues Image's "Ride Captain Ride" from 1970 had a scorching Mike Pinera guitar solo at the end of the song but the engineer running the recording console panned it away so the track would fit AM radio's 3:30 protocol.

The bastard should be drawn, quartered, then fitted for a "Colombian necktie" for such blasphemy!

Jimi Hendrix had what I consider some of the best outros in rock history. His outro for "House Burning Down" is absolutely brilliant not only for his incredible playing but the was he and Eddie Kramer had the flanging and delays set up and then to aqdd some really wild and wide panning, was just a stroke of genius and if you listen carefully, near the end,he actually makes the guitar sound like some kind of wildcat roar.I have tried to emulate his flanging/delay effect and have come frustratingly close but still can't nail it-even though it still sounds very cool-you need to use 2 flangers and 2 delays.I always put the flangers before the delays but besides twiddling with the controls to get the sweet spot of each pedal,I think that I should experiment with their placement so that rather than F-F-D-D,I try F-D-F-D. The outro of "Axis Bold As Love" blows me away too with its spacey flanging and panning-it's the perfect song to listen to with headphones on (So is "House Burning Down") and some like to smoke a herbal compound before hand as that is said to enhance the effect of the effects."Voodoo Child (slight return)" also has an incredible outro and in just the last 10 seconds of the song,if you listen very carefully he does the most amazing pull-off/hammer-on/bend combination and it's maddening because he doesn't do it in any other song except for doing a slight variation of it on "Burning of The Midnight Lamp",which by the way is another song with a great outro.I really like the non modulation outro of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" Clapton's playing is soulful and stellar.

RHCP Wet Sand.

I've always loved the way the emotion of the song gradually built up to climatic ending. To this day it give me chills when I hear it. One of my favorites for sure.

some may laugh, but the outro of 'Cuts Like a Knife' by Bryan Adams is pretty awesome... underneath the na na na's is some pretty smoking leads by Keith Scott... kinda begs the question for the Engineer "why are you fading this out man? Keith's tearing it up!"

Hotel California - Eagles

Joe Walsh often gets credit, but actually it was Don Felder who came up with the main parts for the outro that powers this classic.

Salisbury - Uriah Heep
An epic song at over 16 minutes Mick Box guitar work is influential. An outro mention:

New band for me to check out thanks… I never listened to Uriah Heap. Only know about them from the Rush documentary Beyond The Lighted Stage. Need to check these guys out.
