Thanks, and yes, I am extremely pleased with this guitar. :D

I thought about getting the Indonesian version, and I'm sure I would like it, but this one....yeah, superb! The fit and finish are perfect, the clean sound is excellent, it responds very well to pick attack, getting this wonderful "quack" kind of sound, but I was very pleasantly surprised at the fantastic sound from the Ibanez TSA30 with the gain cranked and the Tube Screamer engaged. Almost orgasmic.........Phuck yes!!!!! :D

A lot of people say the Elitist series by Epiphone is on par with or even better than a Gibson. These are special guitars, and you never know when Epiphone will pull the plug on the line, so take care of that baby. Congrats indeed, you will surely be happy with your Elitist!

I have heard a lot of reports that the overall quality of materials, construction, playability, tone, setup and just about everything else of the Casino is head and shoulders over its Gibson 330 counterpart. The 330 shares the same true hollow body construction, dimensions etc. but the crafted in Japan Casinos (made in Japan and assembled in the U.S.) are by far superior to the 330.I know that the pickups of the original run of 1965 Revolution (sunburst finish stripped and a thin clear finish applied) and the 1965 John Lennon models were based in every way on the actual pickups on John's guitar, right down to the specified windings, wire size, makeup etc. but I don't know if the 330's pickups share the same specs,I have my doubts.

I will try, but it will be a while. I seem to be able to play the best using the Dr Z 2x10 (not mine), so I'll have to get one of my own, or try and make a recording the next time I visit. That cab even makes my playing sound good.

Excellent!

Very hard to find a better built axe than what the Epi Elitists are.

I have a 2004 Chet Atkins, it's great.

Congrats man.

Gibson seems to have "variable quality" lately. I've tried (and bought) good ones, and tried ones that I would have bought if it weren't for obvious manufacturing issues, like bridges that tilt or fretboard binding that sticks out 1/16" from the wood.
Epis might be more consistent these days, but you may not always get as high quality hardware and pickups. What pickups does this Elite come with?

The Elitist models are totally different than regular Epi's. This is their premium line.

The Elitist Pickups
All Elitist instruments are equipped with custom-wound pickups made exclusively for Epiphone by Gibson Musical Instruments and feature such uncompromising features as:

- High Quality Cover Materials - All pickup covers use quality German silver with vintage Nickel

- Vintage Braided, Shielded Wire - For authentic vintage look and tone with no noise.

- Full Wax Potting - Every pickup is potted in a special wax bath to insure that microphonic feedback due to internal vibration is eliminated. All covered models receive a second wax bath to further protect the pickup.

- Specially Made Magnets - All magnets are magnetized by Gibson to ensure the total reliability of each magnet's performance. Critical magnetic flux is maintained for the perfect combination of output without sacrificing tonal characteristics.

The Elitist Hardware
All Elitist instruments feature the finest hardware including precision Grover machine heads for precise tuning accuracy and stability

Nice. Sure, pickups and hardware can always be upgraded later, but it's swell if you don't have to, without paying the premium Gibson price.
Thanks, strings!
