Gaze in wild wonder at the joy I have found! All the superlatives apply, this is one sweeeet guitar. You can read the specs and descriptions on the web, I purchased from Sweetwater and got the last one with a FMT. It's hard to see in the pics, but the back is FM too (FMB?), with a semi-transparent black finish. I took it on a road trip the day I got it, and confirmed that the DR Z 2x10 is my absolute favorite speaker cab. I have used that cab with the DR head, and last night with my Ibanez TSA30 head, and it just blows away all other speaker cabs that I have tried, for both clean and driven/distorted sounds. :D

I know, it's an addiction. I almost need a bigger house now. It would be nice if you could really see the beautiful FM on the back.

Beautiful Guitar Shimmilou. Those are IMO , just as good, if not better then their USA made Gibson counterparts.

I believe Sweetwater posts pictures of the exact guitar you are buying, not one like it.

Those are pictures of my actual guitar. Sweetwater takes them (much better ones than I take) and after purchase they will email them to you when the guitar is shipped. Often, Sweetwater will have several of any given model, and they post the pics of each guitar on their site so that you can choose the one that you like best. This is especially nice and allows you to know exactly what it will look like before it arrives, rather than just having one generic picture to represent them all, and then getting a guitar with a grain pattern, or neck color that you might not like as much. Just one of the many things that sets Sweetwater apart from others. 8)

Yes, Japanese made guitar with US made pups and electronics makes for an excellent package. It seems that most all reviews of Japanese made guitars are very positive, and they often have US made pups in them. I didn't notice a huge difference in the pups between the Japanese made Casino and the Chinese made Wildkat, although they are different guitars, the pups sound similar, so the pups in the Wildkat are very good also. I expect that the other version of the Casino also has very good pups, probably the exact same pups that are in the Wildkat.

BTW, I have another NGD that I actually got before the Casino, but it was overshadowed by the Casino (understandable). Another very cool guitar, and I'll start another thread for it. :D

I think that uncle Ted would be proud of the controllable feedback that I can get with this guitar (even better than with my Ibanez Artcore). I heard a Ted Nugent comment a couple of times when I was playing last night.

Congrats on getting such a beautiful guitar-both in tone and visual appeal-a very wise decision.I have 2 Casinos and I love them,my first is an Indonesian made natural finish model that I paid $550 for and it's just a gem of a guitar but it was when I got my 1965 John Lennon Model-one of the first 50 of 1965 guitars-that I realized what incredible guitars the original Casinos must have been. The neck and overall playability of the Casino is the most ergonomically perfect playing guitar that I ever held in my hands. The sound of the Gibson made Casino pickups-which were dead on copies of John's own '65 is just out of this world and once you hear it you know right away what they mean by "sparkle" because the Casino has gobs of it.It's when I played it through the amp models The Beatles used that I was really floored-the tone was incredibly faithful to the original.AFAIK the Elitist models share the same hardware, pickups and innards as the original John Lennon Limited Edition ones so you should no doubt be as totally gobsmacked over the Casino as I was-and still am,because no matter what model amp that you put it through, she sings real pretty.Enjoy your new baby.Cheers.
