The only caveat when using it with multiple amps is, beware of ground-loop issues.

+1 The kit I made has dual isolation transformers so ground-loop issues are non-existent. You need to be safe when running two amps.

Yes this is good advice, I was looking at the Radial Bigshot and it as an isolation switch built into it. I hope it works, it seems to eliminate hum and sort out the grounding so I'll be taking care anyway. Cheers.

Glad you like it!

It provides a lot of versatility.

It sure does Arjay, I think the possibilities are going to be endless. One of the best things I've bought in a long time.

+1!

It was the best seventy-five bucks I ever spent on a pedal.

Your Radial Bigshot looks to be a great choice, Rhumba. Congrats! If I decide to go with an ABY (rather than an ABCY) pedal, Radial will be my patriotic choice with all the great recommendations.

I know that pedals can alter the original sound, but, good or bad, I'm of the camp that feels adjustments are there to be made (all things being equal). I was searching for an ABCY solution when I ran across this tone discrepancy video with a Radial ABY pedal; but, I'm sure it applies to many others.

I do like the ground loop solution Radial uses . . . so in the interest of the topic, and knowing that every feature comes at a cost, I'll submit this video purely as fodder FYI, certainly not for judgment. Maybe, it will be of some use in some regard to someone.

Cheers,

As for an ABCY switch I found this one interesting.

I'm not in a hurry to get my switch as of yet, so the search goes on. An ABY switch is, IMHO, easier to decide upon than one that has more inputs and outputs adding more variety. With all the new gear in analog and digital, maybe a digital output will be an option. Although, it wouldn't be a deal breaker, and knowing alternatives exist, it could be beneficial. I don't want to end up with a paper weight.

This video shows Voodoo's pedal switcher expanded capabity.

There's something to be said for simplicity and one's bank book

To the best of my knowledge there is only one company that makes a 3-way switcher.
Morely.
I have never tried either of these pedals.
I see no mention of phase reversing, load correction, isolation transformer or ground lift in the description(s).
That doesn't necessarily mean they have none of the above but they're not mentioned.
You'd want to call or email and ask just to be safe.

Thanks, for your post BMW-KTM. I did know about the Morley ABC (I didn't know about the Tripler), but I too could not see anything, for the moment, about the features you listed with the Morley ABC. This is thumbs up for the Radial, for sure.

I have found other ABC pedals/switchers and, because time is not a factor, I am still looking at them, but some are lacking and availability may not be easy.

One with limited info (but, with some contact that would change):

http://lehle.com/EN/ABC-Switcher

Here is one other option of interest that takes care of hum and switches the phase. (You'll have to scroll down to the ABC pedal, though).

http://www.delisleguitar.com/index.php/pedals

Those are just a few options, but they seem to have a pro build to them IMHO.

On a side note: Thanks, to all for your contributions and experience on the build of these pedal/switches. Sometimes, beauty is only skin deep.
