Man, things have changed around here! Haha, I'm guessing most of the members that were active on here when i was a frequent user are gone, but having a quick browse through the lounge there are still some of you old lads on here! I was on here from 2010 and i started fading out in 2012, if that gives any clue...
I had a quick check on here a few months back and surely enough, SBLS had just messaged me asking how i was going. I was rather suprised.
Yes, I am riley. Aka, the young dude from Australia, radio_friendly_unit_shifter...

And i'd thought I'd finally take the time out of my day to make a very overdue thank you. If any of you people who know who i am, please tell anyone else that was an active user but isn't anymore and you still have contact with them, this;
This forum and its people saved me. Seriously, I don't think any of you realise that this was the only thing i looked forward to each and every day cause my life was so miserable. I considered a lot of you to be actual friends, despite the fact that i was an annoying piece of turd most of the time. That was only cause I had serious issues. Soon enough, my luck turned and I am genuinely happy now. For a number of reasons which I'm not gonna go into cause that'd probably bore the absolute crap out of most of you! But seriously, thank you. You don't know how much I mean it. You helped me through hell, and I owe you a beer or a dozen cause of it.
Basically, now i've finished school and am living independently in Melbourne. Going to parties every weekend, meeting people, and just enjoying life. You know, that stuff everyone does when they leave school and start their own life. But I've felt like a different person since 2013, literally so much has happened it's absolutley incredible.
Just thought i'd let all of you know, i'm doing more than great. That's the main thing. And i hope to god you're all doing more than great too.
Anyway, maybe i'll occasionally post, maybe I won't. I tried not to lag on with that, but again for the billionth time, thank you.

Good to see your post Riley. You have helped many Forum members just by being here and contributing even when you weren't feeling well. So, thank you, and I look forward to seeing you when ever you have time.

Yes mate, I remember you well. A young fellow Aussie and deep thinker. Good to hear you're doing well. You play acoustic slide, right? I finally got a real National. I don't come here much myself either. I've pretty well given up electric. Anyway, enjoy Melbourne and your youth.

Well the names have all changed since you hung around.
But those dreams have remained and they're turned around.
Welcome back.

He hasnt mentioned if he was still plucking on guitar, which is the main reason we've all joined to begin with back in 2008 :)

Goodonya ...Mark.

My acoustic slide is still at my parents! I don't really have the room here for four guitars, so I only took two with me.

Nice to hear from you, I was wondering what you were up to these days.

There's still a pretty significant chunk of the old guard knocking about. It' definitely be worth sticking around for that alone.
