Only playing for a year or so, it's just a hobby for me.

I'm 55, and wish I had started 10 or more years ago.

Unfortunately just a hobby as I wish it could still be a tool of trade like it was when I was MUCH younger. When I get home from work I'll plug in and play some. If I've had a really bad day at work  I'll fling a few arrows at my targets outside THEN I'll come in and choke my fretbord.

My guitar is a hobby. I do it for fun. I play a lot with friends, and I enjoy it, and it relaxes me.

For now, my guitar is just a hobby. For now.

I play almost every day, and I find it to be very soothing.

Used to be a tool, now it's a hobby. Maybe someday it will be a tool again.

I guess you could say hobby, but really it is my obsession. I just wish there were more hours in the day to be able to play.

Hobby here, though I guess we could think of it as personal development too. I mean, just look at all the qualities learning guitar should confer upon the diligent student:

Concentration
And..
Uhh.. what were we talking about?

..oh yeah..
Memory exercise and development!
Dexterity improvement (handy for gesturing appropriately when someone cuts you off in traffic)
Patience (when I can be bothered being patient, haha!)
Persistence (I try to avoid procrastination with my lessons, but usually put them off for tomorrow..)
Sense of accomplishment (hopefully!)
Vocabulary expansion (%$*#@ chords!!!)
Manual labour and woodworking skills

:lol::lol::lol:
