My guitar is an instrument of my hobby. Although I know people who make money from thier guitars and and call them a tool. Others I know keep them around as a kind of accessory just to say they own one. Where do you stand?

Instrument of hobby.... Would like to call it a tool for making money, but the money I have made playing doesn't amount to much, and ends up going right back into my guitar fund. :)

My guitars are tools and were used on a regular weekly gigging basis until recently.

Good point Chet I hadn't thought of having a guitar for medicinal puposes.

What an excellent way to relieve stress as well. When I have had a bad day at work, it is great to come home, plug in and rock on!

Yes, hobby for me, but more stress management and therapy too!

Playing is my hobby. I wouldn't mind making money from it to return some of my investments. It burns off heaps of stress for me quite well.

Playing is a hobby to me . I do make some money doing repairs and mods also. I am always on the look out at yard sales , pawn shops, and the paper.
