Well, firstly, I have to admit that my soldering skill is not top class. Yesterday, I planned to change my volume pot. After 30 mins, several fingers' burns and lots of cursing, I realize that soldering multiple wires at once is practically impossible with my lacking skill.
This forces me to do the wire 1 by 1. I have a little question regarding this. Based on fender wiring diagram, 3 neutral wires from the pickups must be soldered on one spot (one solder lug at the back of volume pot). Is it allowed to solder each of the wire to separate solder lug at the back of the pot? I mean, instead of 1-lug-3-wires. Can I do 3-lugs-3-wires? Do I even make sense?

Soldering need to practice before doing clean job .

Practice on old wire and metal scrap before ....Look at You tube how to ...

Soldering on back of the pot is not easy for a beginner , you may damage wires , the pot or do a "cold " solder . Cold solder is a solder strong enough to hold wires to the pot but not for a good contact

Thanks stratele52 for clarifying things. Now, I just make multiple solder lugs at the back of pot for each wire. At first I thought that soldering multiple wires at one spot is a must for electrical reasons. But now I guess ppl do it so the back of pot looks tidy and neat?

I have other question pls. The capacitor that come with pot. Does it even matter to determine the terminals of the capacitor (positive/negative)? I heard before that the terminals can be swap when you soldering the capacitor to the pot. It doesn't really have any effect. Is it true?

For a pro is faster , cheaper and easier

Any wire anywhere

The only capacitor need right wire at the right place is a electrolytic use most of the time as filter cap. There is a + or /and - ( minus ) on these cap.
