I found a good Fretless Jazz to take the place of the one I sold awhile ago.

Cool bass. 8) I don't know how you manage to find the same model to replace it and not lose your arse wheeling and dealing with music shops, or even able to sell in the first place. You should write a book. :P I've never had great luck when it comes to shifting gear. Then again, I don't live in some music metropolis. There isn't even a shop around here, since they're all gone. Not even a record store. Used to be, though. It's kind of ironic, considering that this is the home of two world famous music festivals. Other than that, pretty dead.

Nice!

I should get me a fretless.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Thanks guys. For me it looks good, and plays great. Fretless basses are a nice, smooth player. No speed bumps to get in the way, or slow you down. Image

Speaking of fretless, I'd also wish they'd reissue a fretless P Bass (not talking about the Squier with the plastic fret board, or whatever that stuff is :P ) and they could do it like they do the Jazz, with two different price points, so there is some affordability there. I'd seriously love one of those and that would take care of any P Bass GAS I've had recently. I've always wanted one of those (yeah, yeah, along with a bunch of other crap :P ) but it was one of those things out of my reach. The fretless I did have was actually a Hohner J Bass copy I had in the 90's. It was pretty decent, especially when I put a Bad $@! II bridge on it.

I don't see why they're so resistant to the fretless Precision either.

I know. I actually got to play one once, with a maple fret board. It was pretty cool.

Yeah, I've seen some for sale over at Elderly Music from time to time like that. I can't afford them, though.
