I sell stuff on Craigslist successfully. Here is my answer to people when they inquire.

1) Cash only in full at the time of sale, all sales final.
2) I live in a gated community. so I need the license plate number of the car you are driving in here and your full name as it reads on your drivers license.

If number 1 don't weed them out number 2 does. Both are true. I only accept cash, and I do live in a gated community which will not let anyone in unless they have been cleared by me.

Any particular reason to not accept PayPal? It seems to work well enough, even if there is a fee for the sender.

(For large transactions, I want a payer-initiated transfer to my bank account. My bank does not accept payee-initiated transfers, so all deposits have immediate posting and are irreversible.)

anyone who's perpetrated a recent car-jacking could give you that. I hope they compare license pictures to drivers at the gate.

Believe it or not. I recently sold the Tele to someone on Craigslist. It took some time to find somebody that had both the money and the desire for it. The amazing thing is that the guy lives in Nashville and I am several hours from there. He took a chance and sent me a money order to ship it to him. All went well. But he took a major risk sending money to a stranger. Its good to see there are still people in this world with that much faith. If he's reading this THANKS MAN!! Lol. Now if I can just sale the amp.
