You have a beautiful guitar! Love Epiphone and have several. Have always wanted to buy a Gibson for my collection but just can't justify the huge price differential.

Nice guitar yodacaster! The pups look the same as those on the Widkat. The chrome pup cover on the bridge for the Wildkat is too big, and is in the way of lowering the action to where I want. I did get the action fairly low, it's playable, but the pup cover is very close to the strings. Is it the same on the Casino?

The Wildkat is awesome, I played one at a friends house the other night, and ordered one for myself as soon as I returned home. I tried another Wildkat at GC, but the fret edges were horribly protruded and jagged, but the one that I got has good fret edges. I have an Ibanez Artcore that looks similar to the Casino, and it is a very nice guitar too. Epiphone, and Ibanez, make some decent guitars. :)

I'd have to check out the covers to see the height, but I can tell you the factory set up is pretty low already. It does need another set up, as there is some fretting out on the 12th fret and the G String goes sharp while playing. Other than that, this guitar is really nice. The P90's sound better than the ones in the Tele I traded. I used to have an Ibanez Artcore. I traded it on a Strat years ago. I've kind of regretted it ever since, so I am glad to have a hollow body again. I hope I don't get too much feedback from this guitar. I am already having feedback isssues from other guitars, and I've read that these are notorious for feedback. I guess I wait until the next jam to find out!

Yes, I really like the sound of the Wildkat pups, particularly sweet using a DR head through a 2x10 Dr Z cab. This setup really nails the Steve Howe sound on Strarship Trooper.

Sometimes, I can get an ear piercing squeal from the Wildkat easily when I have the amp cranked, especially with high gain, if I get too close to the speaker. I have also started getting squealing from my Blacktop, only the bridge pup, related to having my hand over the pup. With the Blacktop, it happened after I left the guitar body in front of a speaker for a few days while I had the neck off to file the fret ends, but it is a bit better after some time using it.

Some pics of the Wildkat for comparison. If you can tell from the pic, the neck pup is tilted toward the neck.

Played a Clapton Strat at GC this weekend and it had bad fret edges too. The Wildkat was good though.

Yeah, I actually tried another Wildkat at GC and the fret edges were fine, but it was a red one and I wanted the Antique. I was sure that Sweetwater would not send me one with rough fret edges, and they did not disappoint.

At my house, winter time is mostly when fret sprout occurs, and usually it is the foreign made guitars that seem to exclusively have the problems. Although for the first time for me, an Am made guitar, my 2012 Am Std, is getting a little bit of fret sprout at the body end of the neck, just a bit though. :(

Here is a pic of the pups.

Yep, same pups, even the sticker is the same. It looks like you have your action about where mine is, and it's decent, but I would like to try a little bit lower except that it is already too close to the bridge pup. Still a great guitar though, and I can live with it just that way it is.

Yours is definitely a beaut, and I bet it sounds as sweet or sweeter than the Wildkat.

I have never played the Wildkat, but I definitley like these pick ups. The action is pretty low already, but I still need to do a full set up on it as I am getting some buzzing and fretting out. I just haven't had the time to sit down and tinker. Hopefully I can get to it this weekend.
