Yeah, I imagine it's not going to be cheap because his name is on it. :P

I see it's about $700 more than the MIM model. The inlays on the neck of it remind me of the '77 I had, but mine had the amp style knobs and it was in natural finish with black pick guard. It had the covers and the thumb rest was on top, instead of the bottom of the pick up. I took all of it off it though, when I had it. These days, I'd leave that stuff on it.

I still have the Black PG to change back out if need be.

That would be cool if the black on also came with the black pick guard., or a tortoise shell one, like they had on that other Jazz Bass. Of course, that's just my aesthetics and I suppose you can just change it like you do, anyhow.

They're easy enough to change out, and back, so why not.

Yeah, and you can get some funky colors for them, too.

I've been going back to Tort PG's lately.

The pups didn't have the sound I get on the Am. Std. It also had a bit more body weight to it too. So that went back, and I replaced it with the Fretless. I missed playing the Fretless anyway.

I don't blame you, I'd want a fretless, too. You know, I had a feeling that you weren't going to keep the Geddy. Maybe I'm psychic? :P It's just for some reason when I looked at it, I got that vibe.

Things come and go. I could never get them at The Conservatory to understand where I was at on the subject.

Oh by the way, I inadvertently found out that was a possible (I'm not confirming, but by deduction) contributing factor with the individual you discussed on PM about your reason for no longer participating there. I'm being somewhat vague because this isn't a private thread and those related can see this and I don't want to stir up any unnecessary drama there. Not like it's been active there recently, anyway. :P If you need me to clarify, I will on PM. I didn't ask or mention anything about it. It was brought up in response to something I wrote about, unrelated to you. I'm only mentioning this to you because it's related to you, and felt you should know, not to stir up drama.
