I dropped an SG Std., and picked up an Am. Std. Jazz in it's place.

Excellent choice!

Always hated SG basses anyway.
That freakin heavy headstock that plummets to the floor at a hundred miles an hour the nanosecond you loosen your grip on it. Kinda muddy sounding too. Mine was, anyway.

Definitely a trade up in my book.

Congrats!

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Sweet ! The best color combo ever for a Jazz IMO.

Cool bass. 8) You know, I'm wondering how those Jazz Basses with humbuckers actually are? I know you've gone back and forth between the SG and the Jazz and that got me thinking that I wonder if it would be like combining the two? Could be on to something here.

Thanks Paul. I'm very satisfied with the Jazz sound over the SG Std. The CS60's do a great sound.

I agree with ya'. The neck dive of death does get old. The sound was ok though, with the Nylon strings I had on it.

Hey, I just noticed, what's that Jazz with the block inlays on the right in your sig? That one of those Geddy Lee models?

Hello Paul. Yep, it's a MIM Geddy Lee, with the Fender High Mass bridge copy of the BAll bridge. It's a nice playing, and well put together Jazz. The neck is on the thinner side also, that I like.

Looks pretty cool. I understand they have a US made one out now, which really what his original bass was to begin with. I think a '72.

A pretty hefty price tag on it too, and only available in black.
