Sure do, both of them as required.

If it has one I use it. Since most Fenders don't provide tone control for the bridge pickup I like to use a jump wire to tie that pickup to the neck tonepot. Easier than walking over to the amp.

Another aspect of this, is that a lot of amp descriptions that I read mention adding gain at the tone pots. Especially for some of the boutique tube amps. So adjusting the amps tone pots is not a direct correlation to adjusting the guitars tone pots.

Very rarely, depending on the bass. Usually, I like to have everything wide open and adjust with my amp. Same with guitar when I play that.

I don't usually, on any of my Fenders, except the P-bass.

I use only the 2nd tone knob on my Strat. On my Epi LP , I leave them as is.

Only rarely do I mess with my tone knobs on any of my guitars. I'm much better at getting the tones I want by adjusting the amp EQ or tone knobs on effects if I'm using them. The only time I ever reach for the guitar tone knobs is if I'm in the middle of performing a song and something doesn't sound quite right for some reason then I might reach down and tweak them a bit.

Depends on the guitar. Most I just leave at about 50%. My Powerhouse Strat needs more treble so it's turned up. My American Strat has a tone control for the bridge pickup, but not the middle p/u. It's not as useful as I thought it would be.

When I use my Strat bridge pickup I'll roll off some of the brittleness that you can get with that pickup. I always make sure that the bottom tone control is wired into the bridge pickups on my Strats.

Very rarely.
Guitar tone knobs are rather crude beasts.
That and they suck tone.
Volume knob is a far more effective and useful tool.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

On typical guitars (including Fenders), the position where it doesn't affect the signal is when you have it at "full". If you keep it at the halfway point, the tone is dialled back quite substantially.
That might be what you want, but it's not the most neutral sound.

Um, that would be the purpose of a tone knob...

I use them pretty much only once per guitar, to roll back the trebles of the bridge pickup. Other than that, the amp does the tone.

I really appreciate the "no load" tone pots. It controls bridge/middle in positions 1/2/3....Although when I play clean in the 3 position, I usually ride the dime. Otherwise I back off between 5-9 depending what I want, its easier than diving to the amp controls, imho. Below 5 seems to be to much overall loss.
