Wow, this is pretty amazing. Everything from metal to jazz and so well done. Some of the heavy stuff really surprised me. Awesome!

Thanks for listening SBLS! 8)

Here's another track I made over the weekend. This idea has been bouncing around for a while and I finally recorded a rough take of it. Cheers!

PS Have missed catching up on the last couple songs posted here because they are on sites that my company blocks! :(

>> >>you too Mark, nice song 8)

Thanks SBLS! :)

Uploaded a little fast so I didn't notice the MP3 clipping. Ugg! .WAV file sounds good, but the MP3 gets a little buzzy with the minor clipping. For my uncompressed files, everyone has suggested I get as close to 0dB as possible, which is fine for uncompressed files. Never mind that people get into debates about whether MP3 clipping even occurs, in this case, if I drop the peak level to maybe -0.5 dB, buzzing goes away... live and learn! Anyway, I just put really quick posts on youtube for my friends to hear, but the final mastered versions won't be put out (on Bandcamp) until they are balanced to be included in a new album.

Best!

1950’s Movie Poster – A New Love Song

I overheard a fragment of dialog somewhere — “1950’s Movie Poster” — and thought about all the old film noirs I’d watched my whole life and how I always romanticized the bad girls in them. Wrote this song meaning to mix the classic film noir aesthetic with life in the present.

This is just some noodlin' around a jazzy funk vamp I did - I don't
really kick it in til about the 3:00" mark:

Thanks Mark and Rollie.

It'd be cool if some others would upload some of their music.

Here's an older one with FrankieTheKid. Frank's sign business is
booming and he's just opened another location.

Klowenst, some good ideas there and I liked how you
put in the sync'd chords with the drum accents. I was
kinda waiting for a snare 'hit' in a couple of spots, but
I like what you've done here so far. Nice work and thanks
for sharing!

Thanks for listening Mike! Yea, my drums are highly questionable, I'm tapping them out on my midi keyboard for rough ideas and calling in for backup when recording higher quality versions. 8)

Cool, Ive been liking the Slate drum software a lot:

What are you using this package with? Software and input? Midi pad?

Thanks!
