Who writes and arranges? Or is that a colloborative effort as well?

On this project, it's whoever comes up with the basic idea for the most part but everyone has a say on what's used and what gets saved in the archives.

Here's the whole project (so far):

I like the sound of the tune Miami Mike! I can see it being used in an indie side-scroller. Gets the energy up!

I like that, especially the lyrics! Is that you singing and did you
write the song?

This is one of those tracks that may never get finished so I'm throwing it out here as is. Very rough, especially the drums....

Everything is played on my American Deluxe HSS Strat. Such a great guitar that I have been neglecting my Tele as of late.

Thanks Mike

My singing voice is not great, so most of the lyrics and singing is credited to my band mate. I can only take credit for vocal fills, song composition, arrangement, recording and editing. It was just a demo made in the band room.

Here's something all of my own:

Great stuff. I enjoyed a lot of the stuff. OP I dig that it's very folky, and the guy with the acoustic wow that's some great playing and that guitar sounds beautiful. And nice caddy! Aaron, I can hear that song playing on the radio like right now. Good stuff.

I've already posted these but what the hell. They're still work in progress and I'm working on some lyrics, but this is pretty much it.

My first song I ever wrote. Nearly 3 years in the making lol!
https://soundcloud.com/1neeto/staring-i ... ng-remixed

This one I wrote with my seven string. Just heavy dark riffage.
https://soundcloud.com/1neeto/cold-morning-rain-update

And I just came up with this riff while noodling around on drop D. Maybe it'll develop into something.

Everything was recorded with garage band app for mixing and bias with Jamup for the guitar models and effects.

So we posted the full Ep on our Reverb Nation. The tune I shared before and a couple others with a creepy spoken word thing at the end. However, This tune is my favorite. Just a simple 8 bar blues form in Bm. Bass, drums and vocals. No guitar. Most of the time these days when you hear "drum and bass" stuff it's very effects laden with octave dividers, doubling, ect. So that the bass really doesn't even sound like a bass. I like that we attack it old school other than some post production stereo effects on the kit for creepiness. My tone is completely unmolested. Just my American Vintage 57 Precision through my Bassman 100T and Neo 410 mic'd with my Beta52a. Hope you guys dig it.

KOP, I really liked that song! You've got something there. I wonder what it would sound like if you goosed the tempo up kind of like 'Zoot Suit Riot' by Cherry Poppin' Daddies. It would totally change the feel of the song, but it might sound cool.

Thanks, man! Picking up the tempo would definitely move it more. The drummer and I tried it but the singer didn't care for it. I'm almost tempted to try and cut time it, but swing it harder. Which would still give him room to work vocally but make the song seem like it's got more movement than it really does.

I think what I really dig about this song is that I think since the arrangement is so sparse that should the band get some traction we could do alternate takes down the line. There's certainly room to add to it by doing instrumental breaks in between some of the verses if we add a guitar or harp down the line. Yet it can still stand on it's own as just the vox and rhythm section. Kind of like it can evolve and change over time.
